ORDINANCE N0. 244
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE
TUSTIN CITY CODE ARTICLE 1 CHAPTER 2 TO
PROVIDE A METHOD OF DISPOSAL OF UNCLAIMED
PROPERTY.
The City Council of the City of Tustin,
California, does ordain as follows:
There is hereby added to Article I of Chapter 2,
Section 2-?, to read as follows:
Section 2-?: Whenever any unclaimed property
shall be held in the possession of the Police Department
for a period of at least 6 months, the Police Department
may thereafter sell such property at public auction,
to the highest bidder.
Notice of the time and place of such sale
shall be given by the Chief of Police at least five (5)
days prior ~o the time fixed therefor, by publication
once in a newspaper of general circulation, published
in the City of Tustin.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Tustin, held on the
18th day of November, 1963.
