HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 233 (1963) ORDINANCE NO. 233 AN ORDINANCE ARPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITROY, DESIGNATED AS "WILLIAMS STREET ANNEXATION NO. 2" TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN: WHEREAS, on June 11, 1963, the Council of the City of Tustin did pass and adopt Resolution No. 661, declaring that proceedings had been initiated by the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, to annex to said City certain uninhab- ited territory described therein and designated as "W!LLIAMS STREET ANNEXATION NO. 2" and giving notice of the proposed an- nexation, and said Resolution described the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of. the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City of Tustin would hear protests made by any person owning real pro- perty within the ~erritory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty (40) nor more than sixty (60) days from the date of passage of said ResolutiOn; and WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of the County of Orange, State of California, did, in session duly assembled, approved the proposed annexation boundaries of said annexation; and WHEREAS, on July 22, 1963, at the hour of ?:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall, 145 West Third Street, City of Tustin, County of Orange, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests to the said annexation, the City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation, and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the provately owned ~ , territory proposed to be annexed, as shown on the last equal- ~"" ized assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed, as determined b y said legislative body, and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Tu'stin, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Orange; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tustin r ......................................................................... 1105 does hereby approv~ the annexation of the territory herein- after described to the City of Tustin, and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be, and the same hereby is annexed to the City of Tustin. Said territory, the annexation of which the City of Tustin has herein approved, is all that territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, more particularly described as follows: LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR WILLIAMS STREET ANNEXATION NO.2 TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of the Williams Street Annexation to the City of Tustin as per Ordinance No. 207, said angle point being at the inter- section of the East line of Williams Street (66 feet wide) and the South line of Mcfadden Street (40 feet wide), said angle point also being a point on the existing City boundary of the City of Santa Ana as per Santa Ana City Ordinance No. NS-406; Thence, leaving said Wi!liams Street Annexation boun- 8 o dary and following along said Santa Ana City Boundary N~ 9 40'20" W., a distance of 990-85 feet, to the Southerly pro- longation of the West line of Lot "K" of the Stafford and Tustin Tract as per a map recorded in Book 2, pages 618 and 619, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; Thence, leaving said Santa Ana. City Boundary, run- 0° 1' ning N. 3 31" E. along said Southerly prolongation, along the West line of said Lot "K" and the Northerly prolongation thereof, a distance of 1,032.13 feet, to the South line of that certain parcel of land conbeyed to Joseph Jones as per deed recorded in Book 2583, Page 97, Official Records of Orange County, California; Thence, N. 88° 33'15" E., along the South line of said Jones property, a distance of ?5.24 feet t~ the West line of Lot "H" of said Stafford and Tustin Tract; Thence, N. 0© 33'00" W, along the West line of said Lot "H" a distance of 967.10 feet, to the South line of that 1106 certain parcel of land conveyed to George E. Meurs as per deed recorded in Book 1421, Page 227, Official Records of 0~ange County, California; Thence, N. 88°33'15'' E., along the South line of said Meurs property and the Easterly prolongation thereof, a 'distance of 863.76 feet, to the East line of WilliamssStreet (66 feet wide) said East line also being on the existing boundary line of said Willjams Street Annexation; Thence, following along said existing boundary, S. 0° 31' 31" W., a distance of 1,972.35 feet to the point of beginning.
