AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY,
DESIGNATED AS "FOURTH STREET ANNEXATION" TO THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA.
BE IT ORD-~IINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN:
WHEREAS, on March 18, 1963, the City Council of the City
of Tustin did pass and adopt Resolution No. 646, declaring that
proceedings had been initiated by the City Council of the City of
Tustin, California, to annex to said City certain uninhabited
territory described therein and designated as "FOURTH STREET
ANv.'EX.'-~TION" and giving notice of the proposed annexation, and said
Resolution described the boundaries of the territory proposed
to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place ~,~-hen and where the Council of the City of
Tustin would hear protests made by any person owning real property
within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said
hearing being not less than forty (40) nor more than sixty (~60)
days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and
.WHEREAS, the Boundary Co~mission of th~ County of Orange,
~WHERE~S, on May 6, 1963, at the hour of 7:30 P.M., in
the Council Chambers in .the City Hall, 145 West Third Street~
City of Tustin, County of Orange, State of California, said time
and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution
for hearing protests to the said annexation, the City Council did
hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed an~$xation,
and did ~etermine that protests had not been made by the owners of
one-half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed
to be annexed, as shown on the last equalized assessment roll. or
by public owners of one-half of the value of the publicly owned
territory proposed to annexed, as deter~ined by said legislative
body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of
Tustin, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Orange;

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the city of Tustin does
hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described
to the City of Tustin, and does hereby further ordain that the
said territory be, and the same hereby is annex?d to the City of Tustin.
That said territory, the annexation of which the City of
Tustin has herein approved, is all that territory situated in the
Coun6y of Orange, State of California, more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at an angle point ~ the existing boundar~J line of
the Marvin E. Lawrence Annexation to the City of Tustin as per Ordinance
No. 173, passed and adopted by the ~astin City Council on June 4, 1962,
said angle point also being the Southeast corner of Lot i of Tract No.
4171, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 150, pages 20 and 21,
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, said angle
point also being on a line parallel to and 40 feet Westerly of, as
measured at right angles to, the surveyed centerline of Prospect Avenue;
Thence, leaving said Marvin E. Lawrence Annexation boundary
line, S. 0o14510" E., along said parallel line, a distance of 601.51
feet, to a line parallel to and 50 feet Southerly of, as measured at
right angles to, the Westerly prolongation of the surveyed centerline
of Fourth Street running Easterly from Prospect Avenue;
Thence, N. 89°02'k7'' E., along said parallel line, a distance
of 739.09 feet, to a tangent curve, concave Southwesterly, and having
a radius of 1,150 feet, said curve being parallel to and 50 feet
Southerly of, as measured radially, to the surveyed centerline of
Fourth Street;
ThSnce, Southwesterly, along said curve, through a central
angle of 13 37'36", a distance of 273-50 feet, ~to a tangent reverse
curve concave Northeasterly and having a radius of 1,250 feet, said
curve being parallel to and 50 feet Southerly of, as measured radially,
to the surveyed centerline of Fourth Street;
Thence, Southeasterly, along said curve, through a central
angle of 12°00'00'', an arc distance of 261.80 feet, to a tangent
line parallel to and 50 feet Southerly of, as measured at right
angles to, the surveyed centerlin~ of Fourth Street;
Thence S.' 89020'07,, E., along said parallel line, a distance
of 1,230.33 feet to the surveyed centerline of Holt Avenue;
Thence, continuing along a line parallel to and 50 feet
Southerly of, as measured at right angles to, the surveyed centerling
pf Fourth Street S. 89°20'19'' E., a distance of 649-55 feet, to the
Northwest line of Irvine's Subdivision as shown on a map thereof
recorded in Book l, page 88, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California;
Thence, S. 40o38'45'' W.. along said Northwest line, a
distance of 177-50 feet to the Easterly prolengation of the North
line marked "Leighy" of the Vanderlip and Rowan Tract as shown on a
Map thereof recorded in Book 5, page 160 of Miscellaneous Records of
Los Angeles County, California, said Easterly prolongation also
being on the existing boundary line of the Eastside Annexation to the
City of Tustin as per Ordinance No. lll, passed and adopted by the
Tustin City Council on June 17, 1957;
Thence, following along said Eastside Annexation boundary
line the following courses and distances:

S.89°14'40'' W., a distance of 1390 feet, more or less, to an
angle point;
S. 0°12'00'' W., a distance of 737-25 feet, more or less, to an
angle point;
S. 89°4'6'20'' W., a distance of 1459.65 feet, more or less, to
an angle point, said angle point also being the Northeast corner of
Lot l, Block 42 of a part of Tustin as sho'wn on a map thereof recorded
in Book 13, page 81 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County
California, said angle point also being an angle point in th boundary
line of the Claus Annexation =to the City of Tustin as per Ordinance No.
101, passed and adopted by the Tustin City Council on May 28, 1956;

Thence S. 9 '20" W. along the North line of said Claus
Annexation, a distance of !67.50 feet to an angle point in said Claus
Annexation, said angle point also being on the surveyed centerline
of Prospect Avenue (formerly "E" Street), said angle point also being
on the original boundary line of the City of Tustin;
Thence, following along the original boundary line of the City
of Tustin, the following courses and distances;

N. 0 14'10" W., a distance of 33 feet, to an angle point;
N. 89o46,20'' E. a distance. of 25.4 feet to an angle point;
N. 0°14'10'' W., a distance of 784.39 feet to an angle point;
S. 89o07'50'' W., a distance of 616.17 feet, to an angle point;
S. 89o46'30'' W., a distance of 603.86 feet, to an angle point;
said angle point also being the Northwest corner of Tract No. 338,
as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 14, page 51, Miscellaneous

Thence, following along said Yorba Street Annexation boundary
line, N. 0°10'35'' E., a distance of 722.12 feet to theWesterly
prolongation of the South line of said Tract no. 4171, said Westerly
prolongation also being on the existing boundary of said Marvin E.
Lawrence Annexation line;
Thence, N 89o30'00'' E. along said Marvin E. Lawrence boundary
line, a distance of l, 179.22 feet to the point of beginning.

at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 20th day of May, 1963.

regularly introduced and read at the regular meeting of the City
Council, held on the 6th day of May, 1963, and was given its second reading
and duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting held on the 20th day
of May, 1963, by the following vote;
