AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY 0F TUSTIN, CALIF-
ORNIA, PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS FOR THE IN-
STALLATION, MAINTENANCE, ALTERATION AND RE-
PAIR OF PLUMBING AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS, ADOPT-
ING BY REFERENCE THE ORANGE EMPIRE PLUMBING..
CODE, 1961, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 153.
The City Council of the City of Tustin, Calif-
ornia, does ordain as follows:
SeCtion 1: There is hereby adopted by the
City Council of the City 'of Tustin, California, for
the purpose of prescribing regulations for the instal-
lation, maintenance, alteration and repair of plumb-
ing and drainage systems and the inspection thereof in
the City of Tustin, that certain Code known as "TE
ORANGE EMPIRE PLUMBING CODE, 1961" and the whole there-
of, of which not less than three copies have been and
now are filed in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Tustin, California, and the same is hereby ad-
opted and incorporated herein as fully as if set forth
at length herein, save and except for the portions
hereinafter amended.
Sect,i.0n 2: Section 73~057 (a) is amended to read
as follows:
Sec~' 73.057 (UPC 307). Location.
(a) E~cept as otherwise provided in this Code,
nO plumbing system, drainage system, house sewer, pri-
vate sewage disposal system or parts thereof, shall be
located in any lot other than the lot ~=~hich is the site
of the building, structure or premises served by such
facilities, unless located on property in which the ow-
ner of 'the building, structure or premises served has a
right, lega. lly adequate in the estimate. of the Admisis-
trative Authority, alone or jointly with others, to con-
struct, maintain, and replace such system or sewer or
parts thereof.
~ Section 73.-1-3t0 (a) is amended
to read as follows:

Sec. 73.1310 (UPC !110). Location.
(a) Except as provided in subsection (b)
of this Section, no building (house) sewer
or preyate sewage disposal system or parts
thereof, shall be located in any lot other
than the lot which is the site of the
building or structure served by such sewer
or provate sewage disposal system, unless
located on property in which the owner of
the building, structure or premises served
has a right, legally adequate in the esti-
mate of the Administrative Authority, alone
or jointly with others, to construct, main-
tain, and replace such system or sewer or
parts thereof; nor shall any building (hou-
se) sewer or private sewage disposal sys-
tem or part thereof be located at any point
having less than the minimum distance in-
dicated in Table 13-1 (UPC 11-1 ).
Sectie_~: Ordinance No. 153 of the City
of Tustin is hereby repealed.
S..ection 5:_ The City Council finds and de-
termines that the public interest and necessity re-
quire the adoption and passage of this Ordinance as
an emergency and urgent measure, and said Ordinance
is hereby adopted on this date.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Tustin, California,
held on the 11th day of March, 1963.
