ORDINANCE NO. 181 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIG_ NATED "JOHN JACOBS ANNEXATION" TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF T UST IN: WHEREAS, on the 4th day of June, 1962, the Council of the City of Tustin'did pass and adopt Resolution No. 606 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain. unin- habited territory to the City of Tustin, said territory being therein designated as "JOHN JACOBS ANNEXATION~ said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be armexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 606 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage of said ResolUtion; and WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of July, 1962, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of= the City of' Tustin, County of Orange,. State of Calif- ornia, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 606 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests made to the proposed annexation had not been made byTM the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed, as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners ~f one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be~ annexed, as determined by said legislative body; and ~ WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Tustin, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Orange; 905. NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Tustin does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinaPter described to the City of Tustin, and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be and it is hereby annexed to the City of Tustin. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Tustin is hereby approved, is all that territory situate in the County of Orange, State of California, more particularly described as: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot F of the Stafford and Tustin Tract as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 2, pages 618 and 619, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, said corner also being an angle point in the 'South Tustin Avenue Annex- ation" as per Ordinance No. 136, passed and adopted by the Tustin City Council on July 5, 1960: Thence, leaving said "Sou~h Tustin Avenue Annexation" bound~y and running N. O°41'01" E. along the West line of said Lot F, a distance of 660.23 feet to the North line of the South one-half of said Lot F; Thence, S. 89°44'04'' E. along said North line, s distance of 273.48 feet to the Southwest right ~ way line of the Santa Ana Freeway as establish- ed by instrument recorded on August 16,1954 in Book 2793, page 423 of Official Records of Orange County, California; Thence, S.~ 39o18'49" E. along said Southwest line, a distance of 174.10 feet to an angle point in said Southwest line, said point also being on the West~ right of way line of the Newport Freeway as re- corded on May l, 1961, in Book 57241 page 681 of- OfFicial Records of Orange County, ~alifornia; Thence, S. 49°10'02~ E. along said West line, a distance of 84.52 feet to a point on the West line of =said "South Tus~in Avenue Annexation.~ Thence, following said "South Tustin Avenue Annexa- tion'boundary, the following courses and distances: S. O°41'G1" W0, a distance of 471.07 feet to an angle point; Thence, N. 89o44'04" W. a distance of 450 feet to the point of beginning. 90°6 .
