ORDINANCE NO. 180 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, FIXING AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF TUSTIN AND THE AMOUNT 0F REVENUE NECESSARY TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1962-63. The City Council of the City of Tustin, does ordain as follows: Section l: That it is hereby determined and declared by the City Council of the City of Tustin that the sum of $256,146.00 is the amount of revenue necessary to be raised in order to carry on the variou& departments of the City for the fiscal year 1962-~3- Section 2: That o~ said ~m!~0f $256,146.00 it is anticipated that there will be received, as income from various sources other than through property tax levy, the sum of $202,808.00, and that it will be necessary to raise the sum of $54~092.00 bye tax levy upon the property within the City of Tustin. Section ~: The sum of $8,000.00 out of the amount budgeted to the Police Department will be taken from the Motor Vehicles License Fund for police salaries. The sum of $1,000.00 of the amount budgeted to the Police Department shall be taken from the Alcoholic BeVerage License Fund, and ~]I~[~hall be transferred to the General Fund fo that purpose° Of the money budgeted for the Street Depart- ~.~'~ment, $17 000~00 of the salaries of the City Engineer and the '~'~Street Superintendent and of the monies expended for the street ?~truck and of the monies expended for the repair maintenance ~and construction of major city streets, shall be taken from ,~the Traffic Safety Fund. The budget of the Street Department for construction of major highways approved by the State of California shall be paid for from special gas tax funds. 901 . Section_ 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance, and shall cause the same to be published once within fifteen days after its adoption, in the Tustin News, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Tustin, and said Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force immediately from and after its final adoption.
