AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
AS "MARVIN E. LAWRENCE ANNEXATION" TO THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN:
WHEREAS, on March 26, 1962, the Council of the
City of Tustin did pass and.adopt Resolution No. 591, declaring that
proceedings had been initiated by the City Council of the City of
Tustin, California, to annex to said City certain uninhabited
territory described therein and designated as ~P~RVIN E. LAWRENCE
ANNEXATION~ to the City of Tustin, and giving notice of the pro-
posed annexation, and said Resolution described the boundaries of
the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 591 did contain
a notice of the day, hour and place where and when the Council of
the City of Tustin would hear. protests ma~e by any person owning
real property within the territory proposed to'be annexed; and
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of the
County of Orange,State of California, did, in session duly~assembled,
approve the proposed a~nexation boundaries of said annexation; and
WHEREAS, on May 21, 1962, at the hour of ?:30
P.M., in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall, 145 West Third
Street, City of Tust%n, County of Orange, State of California,
said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said
Resolution No. 591 for hearing protests to the said annexation,
the City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the
proposed annexation, and did determine that protests had not been
made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately
owned territory proposed to be annexed, as shown on the last
equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half
of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to
be annexed, as determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of
Tustin, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Orange;
and
NOW, THEREY0RE, the City Council of the City of Tuskin
does hereby approve the annexation of the territory herei~after
described to the City of Tustin, and does hereby further ordain
that the said territory be, and the same hereby is annexed to the
City of Tustin.
That said territory, the annexation of which the City
of Tustin has herein approved, is all that territory situated in
the County of Orange, State of California, more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
"Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot A as shown
on a map of Tract No. 4170 recorded in Book 150,
pages 18 and 19, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, California, said point of beginning
being on the East line of the Tomas YorbaTract as
shown on a map thereof recorded in "Record of
Surveys," Book l, on page 33; records of Orange
County, California, said point also being on the
East line of the Yorba Street Annexation to the
~" City of Tustin as per Ordinance No. 135, passed
and adopted by the Tustin City Council on
~ Apri~ 26 1960 said point of beginning, bears
" No 0 10'~5n W.~ a distance of 1466.56 feet from
the southeast corner of Lot 8 of said Tomas Yorba
Tract, said southeast corner also being the south-
east corner of said Yorba Street Annexation and
also being an angle point in the original city
boundary of the City of Tustin; thence, departing
easterly from said Yorba Street Annexation boundary
line, N. 89o22'00" E. along the South line of said
Lot "An, a distance of 1,056.38 feet, to a tangent
curve concave Southwesterly and having a radius of
594.65 feet; thence, Southeasterly along said curve

through a central angle of i 5 35" an arc distance
of 122.91 feet, to a line parallel to and 40 feet
Westerly of as measured at right angles to, the
surveyed centerline of Prospect Avenue; thence

S. O°14'10' E. along said parallel line a distance
of 690.14 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot l, as
shown on a map of Tract No. 4171 recorded in Book
150, pages 20 and 21, Miscellaneous Maps Records
of Orange County, California; thence S. ~9°30'00m.
W. along the South line of said Tract No. 4171 and
its Westerly prolongation, a distance of 1179.22
~'~ feet to said Yorba Street Annexation boundary;
thence N. 0°10'35"W along the East line of said
Yorba Street Annexation boundary, a distance of
699.96 feet to the point of beginning.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once within
fifteen days after its adoption inthe Tustin News, a weekly
newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and cir-
culated in the City of Tustin, and said Ordinance shall take
effect and be in full force immediately' from and a~ter its final
ado pt i on.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Tustin, at a regular meeting thereon held on the 4th day of June, 1962.

the whole number of the members of the City Council of the City of
Tustin is five; that the above and foregoing Ordinance was duly
and regularly introduced and read at the regular meeting. of the
City Council held on the 21st day of May, 1962, and was given
its second reading and duly passed and adopted at a regular
meeting held on the 4th day of June, 1962, by the following vote:
