ORDINANCE NO. 168
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED AS "B. F. BESWICK
SCHOOL ANNEXATION" TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN:
WHEREAS, on DecemBer 18, 1961, the Council of the City
of Tustin did pass and adopt Resolution No. ~?8, declaring that
proceedings had been ini~ated by the City Council of the City
of Tust.in, California, to annex to said City certain uninhabited
territory described therein and designated as ~B. F. BESWICk
SCHOOL ANNEXATION· and giving notice of the proposed annexation,
and said Resolution described the boundaries of the territory
proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. ~78 did contain a notice of
the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City of
Tustin would hear protes~ made by any person owning real property
within the territory proposed to be annexed,. the time of said
hearing being not less than forty (40) nor more than sixty (60)
days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and-
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of the County of
Orange, S~ate of California, did, in session duly assembled,
approve the proposed annexation boundaries of said annexat~n; and
WMEREAS on February 5, 1962, at the hour of 7:30 P.M.
in the Council Chambers,.in the City Hall, ~1~5 Wes't Third Street,
City of Tustin, County of Qrange, State of California, s~id time
and place b~ing the ~ay,hour and place fixed in said Resolution
Noo ~?.8'.~or hearing protests to the said annexation, the City
Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed
annexation, and did determine that protests had. not _been made
by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned
territory proposed to be annexed, as shown on the last equalized
assessment roll, nor by publ. ic owners of one-half of the value
of the ~ubiicty owned territory proposed to be annexed, as
determined by said legisl&tive body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City
of Tustin, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Orange;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City.Council of the City of
Tustin does hereby approve the annexation of the territory
heroinafter described to the City of Tustin, and does here-
by further ordain that the said territory be, and the same
hereby is annexed to the City of Tustin.
That said territory, t~e annexation of which the
City of Tustin has~herein approved, is all that territory
situated in the County of Orange, State of California,. more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 53 as
shown on a ma'p of Tract No. 2?4?,recorded in Book
82, Pages 19 and 20, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records
of Orange County, California, said'southerly corner
also being an angle point in the boundary line of
Pankey Annexation to the City of Tustin as per Or-
dinance No. 99 passed and adopted April 23, 1956;
Thence, following along said. Pankey Annexation boundary
the following courses and distances as per said 0r-
dinance Noo 99: N. 3~°50'44'* E. 6?.00 feet.to angle
point; thence, S° 50009'30" Eo 20°00 feet to angle
point; thence, N. 39 50'4~'!' E. 941o78 feet to easterly
corner of Lot 39,~ said Tract No. 2747, said corner
also being a.n angle point in said Pankey Annexation
boundary line;
Thence, continuing easterly following said Pankey boundary
line, along a curve concave to the southwest (a radial
line ~assing through said corner of Lot 39, bears
S. 25 09'37~ W.) having a radius of 4880.0 feet through
a central angle of 2 26'19~ ~an a~c distance of 207.66~
feet to beginning of a tangent curve concave to the
southwest, having a radius of 1972.00 feet through a

Icentral angle of ll 21'23~ an arc distance of 390°86
feet to a point;

Thence, tangent S. :51 00 E. 120.00 feet to a tangent
curve concave southwesterly; thence, southwesterly along
said curve having ~ radius of 472.00 feet, through a
centra~ angle of 3 29'51:' and arc distance of 28.81 feet
to the most easterly corner of Tract :No. 4251, as shown
on. amp thereof recorded in Book 152, pages 13 and 14,
· Miscellaneous Maps, Recores of Orange County, Calif.;
Thence, departing from said Pankey-Annexation boundary
line, S. 39°5i'27~ W. along southeasterly line of said
Tract No. 4251 and the southwesterly prolongation thereof
a distance of 1,169.16 feet, to 6he southwestebly line
Mitchell Avenue (66feet wide); thence, S. 50°09'30~ E.,
along said southwest line of Mitchell Avenue; a distance
of 330.45 feet to the intersection of the southeasterly
line of the northwesterly one-half (1/2) of the easterly
one-quarter (1/4) of Lot 47 of Block il of Invine Sub-
division as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 1,
page 88, Miscellaneous ~i~ Records of Orange County,
California; thence,. S. '22" W. along said south-
easterly line, a distance of 62?.60 feet, to the southerly
corner of the northwest me-half (1/2) of the easterly
one-quarter (1/4) of said Lot 4?; thence, N. 50°0~'30~
W. along the southwesterly line of the northeasterly one-
half (1/2) of said Lot 47, a distance of 660.?6 feet~ to
the westerly corner of the southeasterly one-half (1/2)
of the northerly one-quarter (1/4) of said Lot
thence, No 39°50'~4~ E along the northwesterly line of
said southeasterly one-h~,lf (1/2) and its northeasterly
prolongation, a distance of 693.60 feet, to the north-
easterly line of Mitchell Avenue, as shown on said Tract
No. ~2~1; thence, N. ~0°09'D0~' W. along said northeasterly
line of Mitchell Avenue, a distance of.430.~5 feet to the
point of beginning°
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
th~s Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published
once within fifteen days after its adoption in the Tustin
News, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in the City of Tustin, and said
Ordinance shall take effect and be in full. force immediately
from and after its final adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Tustin, at a regular meeting thereon held on the 19th day of February, 1962.
