AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED " MARSHALL
ANNEXATION" TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN.
BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTI~J:
WHEREAS, on the ?th day of November, 1960, the Counc-
il of the City of Tustin did pass and adopt Resolution No.
535 giving notice of the pFoposa! to annex certain uninhabited
territory to the City of Tustin, said territory being therein
designated. as "Marshall Annexation" said ~e~olution des-
cribing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be
annexed; and
WttEREAS, said Resolution No. 535 did contain a
notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council
of the City would hear protests made by any person owning
real property within the territory proposed to be annexed,
the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more
than s~xty days from the date of passmge of said Resolu-
tion; and
WHEtlEAS, on the 19th day of December, 1960,
at the hour of Y:30 o'clock P. M., in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall of the City of Tustin, County of Orange,
State of California, said tlme and 'o!ace being the day,
hour and olace fixed in said Resolution No. 53~ for
hearing protests to the said ann.exation, the said City
Council did hear and pass uoon all protests mad. e to the
proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not
been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the
privately owned territory proposed to be annexe~ as shown
by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by ~ub!ic
owners of one-half of the value of the publicly owned
territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said
legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said· territory is contiguous to the
City of Tustin, and is uninhabited territory in the County
of Orange;
!~[OW, TIIEREFORE, the said Council of the City
of Tustin does hereby approve the annexation
of the territory hereinafter described to the
City of Tustin, and does hereby further ordain
that the said territory be and is hereby annexed
to the City of Tustin.
That said territory, the annexation of which
to the City of Tustin is herein approved, is
all that territory situate in the County of
Orange, State of California, more particularly
described as Follows:
Beginning at an angle point on the city boundary
of the City of Tustin as recorded in Yorba Street
Annexation No. 2 to the City of Tustin, said
angle point being the Northwest corner of the
South !00 feet of the North 275.10 feet of the
East half of the South Half of the North half
of the East half of Lot 11, Block B of the A.
B. Chapman Tract as shown on a map thereof
recorded in Book 102, Page 15, Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California,
as recorded in Book 3157, Page 143, Official
Records of Orange County, California; thence
North, along the West line of the East half
of the South half of the North half of the
East half of said. Lot 11, s dist~nce of 175.1
feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner
of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quar-
ter of said Lot 1!, as recorded. in Book 3529,
Page ~99, Official Records of Orange County,
California; thence Westerly along the South
line of said deed, a distance of 330 feet, more
or less, to the East line of the West half
of s~id Lot 11; thence, along said East line,
N. 0 53' 02" E., a distance of 272.88 feet,
more or less, to a point 57.12 feet Southerly
of the North line of said Lot 11, as measured
along said East line, said noint being an angle
point in the deed conveyed to the State of
California as recorded in Book 44~5, Page ~9,
