AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
REGULATING THE USE OF AND TR`iFFIC UPON THE
STREETS, SIDEWALKS .,�ND OTHER PUBLIC AND PRIVATE
PLACES I1_'' THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, THE
USE, PARKING AND CONTROL OF VEHICLES THEREON,
AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 19,6O EDITION OF --.
THE UNIFORM TRAFFIC ORDINANCE OF THE LEAGUE OF
CALIFORNIA CITYIS, AND AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Tustin California, as follows:
Section 1. ADOPTIQN OF UNIFORM TRAFFIC ORDINANCE
All of the provisions of the.UNIFORM TRAFFIC OR*
DINANCE, 1960 editionc adopted by the League of California
Cities, are hereby adopted and made a part.of this Ordinance
as though fully set forth herein. Three copies of the
UNIFORM TRAFFIC ORDINANCE are on file for use and exam-
ination by the public in the office of the City Clerk
of this City.
Section 2. PENALTIES
Any person violating any of the provisions of
this Ordinance shall be guilty of a mesdemeanor. Any
person who shall be convicted of a violation of this Or-
dinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and
shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $500.00, or by
imprisonment for not exceeding six months, or by both
such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3. CONSTITUTIONALITY
if any section, sub -section, sentence, clause
or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be
unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance and
each section; sub -section, sentence, clause and phrase
thereof, errespective of the fact that any one or more
sections, sub -sections, sentences, clauses or phrases
be declared unconstitutional.

Section 4: AMENDMENT
Ordinance No. 6 of the City of Tustin, California
and all amendments thereto, are hereby repealed, and all
ordinances or portions of ordinances in conflict with or
inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are
hereby repealed, except that this shall not affect or
prevent the prosecution or punishment of any person
for any act done or committed in violation of any
ordinance hereby repealed prior to the effective date of
I this Ordinance.
Section 5. :The City Traffic En-ineer, as -provided
for in said UNIFORM TRAFFIC ORDINANCE, shall be appoin-
ted by the City Council., I
Section 6. The City Traffic Engineer is authorized

to regulate the timing of traffic signals so as to permit
the imovement of traffic in an orderly and safe manner,
at speeds slightly at variance with the speeds other-
wise a9plicable within the district -s or at intersections,
and he shall erect appropriater,-signs giving -notice
thereof.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Tustin, California, at a regular meeting thereof,
held on the 21st day of November, 1960.

the above and foregoing Ordinance was duly and regularly
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held
on the 7th day of November, 1960, and was duly passed and
adopted at a. regular meeting held on the 21st day of
November 1960, by the following vote:
