AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN PROHIBITING
THE USE OR POSSESSION OF INTOXICATING BEVER1h
AGES ON OR NEAR PUBLIC AREAS.
The City Council of the City of Tustin does
or
ordain as follows:
Section_ 1. No person shall sell, offer for sale
purchase, give away, consume or possess any intoxicating
beverage with±n 100 feet of any public park, playground
or youth center within the city limits, provided.how-
ever, that there be excepted from the provisions of
this ordinance the possession and consumption of in-
toxicating beverages within private dwellings.
Section 2. Any person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished

for the first offense by a fine not to exceed Fifty
($50.00) Dollars, or by imprisonment in. the City Jail
for not more than five (5) days.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to
the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same
to be published once in the Tustin News, a weekly
newspaper of general circulation, printed, published
and circulated in the City of Tustin, Orange County,
California, .and said Ordinance shall take effect thirty
(30) days from the date of its final passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED By the City Council of the
City of Tustin, at its regular meeting held on the
21st day of November, 1960.
