ORDINANCE NO. 137
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, FIXING AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT
OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION
UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF
TUSTIN AND THE _E L OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO
CARRY ON THE VARIOUS , DEPARTMENTS OF THE SATD�
CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1960-61
The City Council of the City of Tustin does ordain as
Section 1. That it is hereby determined and declared
by the City Council of the City of Tustin that the sum of
$138,96o.00 is the amount of revenue necessary to be raised in
order to carry on the various departments of the City of Tustin
for the fiscal year 1960-61.
Section 2. That of said sum of $138,960.00 it is
anticipated that there will be received, as income from various
sources other than through property tax levy, the sum of
$107,760.00, and that'it Will be necessary to raise the sum of
$31,200.00 by tax levy, upon the property within the City of
Tustin.
Section 3. That, the $138,960.00 so required by the
various departments of the City of Tustin during the fiscal yd'ar
is distributed and budgeted as follows:

The sum of $15,000.00 out of the amount budgeted to the
Police Department will be taken from the Motor 'Vehicles License
Fund for police salaries. The sum of $3,000.00 of the amount
budgeted to the Police Department shall be taken from the Alcoholic
Beverage License Fund, and shall be transferred to the General Fund
for that purpose.
Of the money budgeted for the Street Department, $14,000.00
of the salaries of the City Engineer and the Street Superintendent
and of the monies expended for the street truck, and of the monies
expended for the repair, maintenance and construction of major City
streets, shall be taken from the Traffic Safety Fund.. The Budget
of the Street Department for construction of major highways approved
by the State of California shall be paid for from special: gas.tax
f ands.
Unless otherwise indicated, the expenses budgeted in this
account shall be paid out of and chargeable to the General Fund of
the City of Tustin.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Ordinance, and shall cause the same to be published once
within fifteen days after its adoption, in the Tustin News, a
weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in the City of Tustin, and. said Ordinance shall take
effect and be in full force immediately from and after its final
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Tustin 91t a regular meeting thereof held on the lst day of August,
1960.

that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City
of Tustin is five; and that the above and foregoing Ordinance was
duly and regularly introduced at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Tustin, held on the 18th day of July, 1960,
and was duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council heldonthe lst day of August, 1960, by the following vote:
