ORDINANCE N0. 132
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN CALLING A SPECIAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE 26th DAY OF APRIL, 1960
PE3TAININC TO THE ANNEXATION OF "YORBA STREET ANNEXA-
TION" TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN.
WHEREAS, by Resolution heretofore passed and
adopted, the City Council of the City of Tustin declared its
intention to call a. special election in certain inhabited
territory contiguous to said City proposed to be annexed
to the City,'for the purpose of submitting; to the quali-
fied electors residing in said territory the question whether
or not the territory shall be annexed to the City;
and
WHEREAS, a copy of said ?resolution was published
as required by law; and
WHEREAS, at a time not later than the hour
set by said Resolution for hearing objection's to the
proposed election, protests were not made by the owners
or by public and private owners equal to one-half of the
value of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, all proceedings have been had in
accordance with said Hesolution and the Annexation Act
of 1913, reference thereto hereby being made for further
particulars:
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City
of Tustin does ordain as follows:
1. A special election is hereby called to
be held on the 26th day of April, 1960 in the territory
hereinafter described and proposed to be annexed. to the
City of Tustin, for the purpose of submitting to the
qualified electors residing; in said territory the question
of whether or not such territory shall be annexed to,
incorporated in, and made a part of said City of Tustin.
Said territory is described in Exhibit A,
which is attached hereto, incorporated herein and made.
a part hereof by reference.

YORBA STREET ANNEXATION
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Block "A" as
shown on a map of Tract No. 396, recorded in Book 16,
on Page 10, Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California, said point of beginn-
ing being in the exterior boundary line of the
City of Tustin.
Thence Westerly along the Westerly prolongation
of the Northerly line of said Block "A"; forty feet
(40 feet) to the Easterly line of the Felipe Yorba
Tract as shown on a map recorded in Book 4•, Page 206,
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, said Easterly line of Felipe Yorba Tract,
also being the Westerly right of -way line of Yorba
Street, forty feet in width.
Thence Northerly along the Easterly line of.said
Felipe Yorba Tract, 4.366.97 feet a. little more or
less, to a point 52 feet Southerly, measured at
right angles from the surveyed center line of
Seventeenth Street, (17th St.), said point being
an angle point in the boundary line of the City
of Santa Ana.
Thence continuing; Northerly seven (7) feet to a
point 4.5 feet Southerly, measured at right angles
from said surveyed center line of Seventeenth
(17) Street.
Thence Easterly, parallel to said surveyed. center
line, 34.0.00 feet, a little more or less to the
Southerly prolongation of the Westerly line of
the Easterly one half of Lot 14 in Block "B", A.
B. Chapman Tract as per map filed in the office
of the County Recorder, Orange County, California.
Thence Northerly along said Southerly prolonga-
tion and continuing along said Westerly line
to the Northwest corner of the East one-half of
said Lot 14.
Thence Easterly, alonLr the North line of said
Lot 14 in Block "B" 205.5 feet a. little more or
less to a line drawn parallel with and 205 feet
Easterly measured at right angles from said Wester-
ly line of the East one half; and passing through
said North line of Lot 14, Block "B".
Thence Southerly along; said parallel line and
along its Southerly prolongation to a point 4.5.00
feet Southerly measured. at right angles from the
surveyed center line of Seventeenth (17) Street.
Thence Easterly parallel to said center line 72.4.3 feet
a little more or less to the East line of Lot 1,
as shown on a map of Vincente Yorba "ract,
recorded in Book 2, Page 14, Miscellaneous Records
of Orange County.
Thence Southerly along; lot line to the Southeast
corner of said. Lot 1, Vincente Yorba Tract.
Thence Easterly along lot lines 1564.30 feet to the
Northeast corner of Lot 3, said Vincente Yorba "Tact.

Thence Southerly along the Easterly line of said
Vincente Yorba Tract and a -long the Easterly line
of the 'Tomas Yorba. Tract as shown on a map record-
ed in Record of Survey, book 1, page 33, Records
of Orange County, California, to angle point in City
of Tustin, boundary line.
Thence Southerly 44.48 feet to angle point in city
boundary.
Thence Westerly along city boundary to Point of
Beginning.
2. The pools at said election shall be opened at 7:00
o'clock A. M. of the day herein fixed for the holding of
said election and shall be kept open until 3:00 o'clock
P. M. of the same day, when the polls shall be closed.
3. Upon the ballots to be used at said. election there
shall be printed the words:
SHALL "YORE3A STREET ANNEXATION" BE
AN14EXED TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN?
Opposite these words, there shall be printed the words "YES"
and "NO", and to the right of each of these last two words
there shall be a voting square. If an elector shall stamp
across (x) in the voting square after the printed word
"YES", the vote of such elector shall be counted in favor
of the annexation of said. territory to the City of Tustin
and, if an elector shall stamp a cross (x) in the voting
square after the printed word "NO", the vote of said. elector
shall be counted against such annexation.
In all particulars not herein recited, said
election shall be held in conformity; or near as may be,
with the laws of the State of California concerning general
elections and. with said.Annexation Act of 1913.
4. (a) For the purpose of said election, there hereby is
established in the territory described herein one (1) voting
precinct, which shall include all of said territory. The
following named persons hereby are named officers of election
and shall constitute the Board. of F?lection for such election
precinct:

Polling Place: 14602 South Yorba Street, Orange County,
California, Rumpus room, adjacent
garage.
Inspector:: Margaret L. Kinyon,
14602 S. Yorba St., Santa. Ana, Calif
Judges Marjorie J. Balmer,
14632 S. Yorba St., Santa Ana, Calif
Adah L. Willis
14302 S. Yorba St., Santa Ana, Calif
(b) For their services in connection with said election,
said inspector shall receive ?15.00 and said judges
$10.00 each; and the person in possession of the polling
place named herein shall receive for the use of such pre-
mises in connection with said election the sum of ��10.00.
5. The City Clerk shall publish a notice of said sbecial
election as required by the Annexation Act of 1913, at
least once a week for the four (4) weeks prior to the
date of the election on April 26, 1960, in the Orange
Daily News, a newspaper of general circulation printed
and published outside of the City of Tustin, but in the
County of Orange, State of California.
6. Pursuant to the provisions of Subsection (a) of
Section 36937 of the Government Code of this State of
California, this ordinance shall take effect immediately.
7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of, this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the
Tustin News, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in the City of Tustin, County
of Orange, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
i City of Tustin at a regular adjourned meeting thereof,
held on the 25th day of February, 1960.

does hereby certify that the whole number of members
of the City Council of the City of Tustin is five; that
the foregoing Ordinance was duly and regularly introduced
at a.regular meeting of the City Council of the -City of
Tustin, held on the 25th day of February, 1960, and was
duly passed and adopted at a regular adjourned meeting
of the City Council held on the 25th day of February,
1960.
