AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 71 OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
AND REZONING AND ESTABLISHING BUILDING LINES FOR CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF TUSTIN.
follows:
The City Council of the City of Tustin does ordain as
WHEREAS, J. 0. PREBLE AND MILDRED L. PREBLE have duly
filed with the City Clerk an application for change of zoning
concerning the property described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, said matter has been referred to the Planning
Commission of the City of Tustin, and the Planning Commission has
duly given notice of the time and place for public hearing before
the Planning Commission concerning said change of zone; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 26, 1958,
before the Planning Commission, and the rezoning of that certain
real property described hereinafter was considered by the Planning
Commission, and the Planning Commission having made its recommenda-
tions concerning the rezoning of said property to the City Council;

WHEREAS, the City Council, after due notice of the time
and place for a public hearing before the City Council, held a
public hearing on the rezoning of said property on June 16, 1958;
and
WHEREAS, all provisions of.Ordinance No. 71 relating to
amendments thereof have been duly complied with; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that
public necessity, convenience, general welfare, and good zoning
practice require certain changes in the zones and building line
setbacks on said property hereinafter described,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tustin
does ordain as follows:
Section 1. That that certain real property located
between "F" and "H" Streets, and fronting on East Main Street,
more particularly described as follows:
"A.portion of Blocks 10 and 11 of Tustin City,
in the•County of Orange,.State of California, as
per map recorded in Book 4, pages 218 and 219
of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the
County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California,
described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of said
Block 11, running thence North 639 1/2 feet;
thence East 340.57 feet; thence South 639 1/2
feet and thence lest 340.57 feet to the point
of beginning."
be and the same is hereby rezoned from M-1 to R-3 and C-2, and
Ordinance No. 71, as amended, is further amended as follows:
The Southerly 138 feet of said real property described hereinabove
be rezoned from M-1 to C-2; and the Northerly 501.5 feet thereof
be rezoned from M-1 to R-3, all in accordance with a map, which
map is attached hereto, incorporated herein, marked "District
Zoning Map, Plate ll", and made a part hereof. It is the intention
of the City Council that theprintedmap designated as "District
Zoning Map, Plate 1111, and attached hereto, prevail over the
written description in the event of conflict.
Section 2. Building Lines. The building line require-
ments for the property described hereinabove are set forth on a
map attached hereto, incorporated herein, marked "Plate 11-A",
and made a part of this Ordinance as if the matters and information
set forth on said map were fully described herein. It is the
intention of the City Council that the printed map attached hereto
designated "Plate 11-A" shall prevail over the written description
in the event of conflict. That Ordinance No. 71 of the City of
Tustin, as amended, and the Building Line Map heretofore adopted
are hereby amended in accordance with the provisions of this
Ordinance.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Ordinance, and shall cause the same to be published once
within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Tustin News,
a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in the City of Tustin.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council" of the City of
Tustin at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of July,
1958.
