HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 100 (1956)ORDINANCE NO,100 AN ORDINM CE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA ACCEPTING AND APPROVING GRISETIS ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN The City Council of the City of Tustin does ordain as f 0116ws: 9M WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Title 4s, Division Z., Part 2, Chapter 1, Articles 1 and 5 of the.Government Code of the State of California, the following things have been done: Resolution ,NO, 382 of the City of Tustin .stating that the City Council on its own motion intended to annex certain territory des- cribed therein designated as Griset's Annexation to Tustin and setting the date of April 9. 1956 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. as public ,hearing for the purpose of hearing protests to be made by any person owning real property within the area proposed for annexation was duly passed and adopted by said City Coundil; that on February 6. 1956, the territory described in said resolution designated as GVisetts annexation to Tustin Was approved by the Boundary Commision of the County of Orange; that no part of the subject territory is zoned and restricted for agricultural purposes exclusively; that there are less than twelve registered voters living within said territory; that at the hearing =held April 9., 1956, pursuant to the provisions of Resolution No, 382, there were no protests from owners of more than one-half of the value of the territory.proposed to be annexed as shown on the last equalized tax assessment roll of the County ,of Orange,* I NOW., THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tustin., California does ordain as follows: - I Section 1. That the annexation of that certain uninhabited territory contiguous to the City of Tustin designated as Griset's Annexation to Tustin be,, and the same is hereby approved and annexed to the City of Tustin., Said territory is described as follows. - Beginning at a point in the center line of Main Street,, distant thereone forty-four feet (441) "Easterly from the inter- section of the center line of Glen Avenue (66#00 feet wide) (Al. so known as Tustin Avenue), said intersection being an angle point in the City boundary; thence following along the Southerly and Westerly boundary lines of the City of Tustin the following 530 courses as described, in original boundary description; thence, Easterly along the said center line of Main Street to an intersection with the Northerly prolongation of the Westerly line of Block "V" of the Stafford and Tustin Tract,, as shown on a Map thereof, recorded in Book 2,, pages 618 and 619, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence, Southerly* along the said Westerly line of Block 'Y' and the prolongation thereof$ to an intersection with the center line of that certain public highway commonly known as Sixth Street, (shown as Sycamore Street on the said Map of the Stafford and Tustin Tract); thence.. Easterly,, along the said center line of Sixth Street to an intersection with the center line of "B" street,, as shown on a Map of a part of Tustin City* recorded In Book 4. pages 218 and 219, Misobll- aneous Records of Los Angeles County., Califbmia; thmee.,. Southerly, along the said center line of "B" Street to an intersection with the Westerly prolongation of the North line of Tract No. 541, recorded inBook 26, page .,14, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange Countyv California; thence Easterly, along said prolongation and said North line to the Northeast corner of said Tract No, .541, said point being in the West right of way line of "Dtl Street of the Town of Tustin; thence Southerly along said West line of "D" Street 449,73 feet to an inter- section with the Southerly right of way line of the Santa Ana Freeway - "VII -Ora -2-C Tus*"'as established by the Division of Highways in December# 1952; thence following along said rightof way line the following courses and distances: North 650 59t 00" West 734,87 feet; thence North 600 001 52" West 76.33 feet;,.thence North 670 32t 3411 West along a line drawn parallel to distant 70-00 feet Southwesterly measured' at right angles from the surveyed center line of said State Highway, 1301,06 feet, to the East line of that certain proper- ty conveyed by James_ _A. Section 2. 'The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk shall attest thereto and certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Tustin News,, a weekly newspaper of general circulation., printed., published and circulated in the City of Tustin., and said Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from its final passage,, PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin at its regular meeting held on the 23rd day of April.. 1956. The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk shall attest thereto and certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Tustin.News, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Tustin, and said Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from its final passage.
