HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 69 (1946)-- onni a cE No. 69 V:`ORDINAN CE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN AMPNDING ORDINANCE NO. 52, OF SAID CITY T he City Council of the C ity ;of T ustin does ordain as follows: Section 1. That Subsection 15 of Section 11 of Ordinance No. 52 of said city, is hereby amended to read as follows: "(15). a. For every person, firm or corporation maintaining, operating or having on his o or its premised a slot machine, or an amusement vending machine, or a punchboard in use, Fifteen ($15.00) T)ollars-per year, for each such slot machine, amusement vending machine or puncIghoard. 'a. For every person, firm or corporation maintaining, and operating merchandise vending machines, which machines have no amusement feature or device connected therewith., and which do not, in opwration thereof, deliver any tokens of slugs, the sum of k'ive (15,00) Dollars per year for machines vending merchandise for the sum of (1¢) one cent, the sum of Seven and 50/100 (*7.50) Dollars per year for machines vending merchan _ dise for the sum of five (50) cents, the sum of Fifteen M5-00) Dollars per year for machines vending merchandise for the.sum of more than five (5f) cents." Section 2. T 'hat subsection 88 of Section 11 of Ordinance No -52 of said city, is hereby amended t o read as follows "'(88) • For every person, firm or corporation engaged in more than one type or kind of b usiness, he or they s7gall be required t o take out one license for each type or kind of business engaged in for each location and place of such business-"' Section 3. E mergency: T ,his ordinance is urgently required for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the City of TbstirY, and sLzall be in effect January 1,1947. The following is a speci#ic statement showing the emergency of this ordinance: That present license schedules and regulations will expire on Lfiec ember 31) 1946) and it is necessary that the changed license schedules and regulations go into effect on January 1, 194711t would result in an overlapping into the new yeat of the provisions of the old ordinance and cause great inconvenience and confine both from a legal and practical standpoint in the collection of the City revenue. Section 4. ORM N AN CE NO. 69.
