HomeMy WebLinkAboutA ST S 175 04/09/19900 CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS 175 SOUTH A STREET APRIL 9, 1990 In accordance with Ordinance 1001 which was adopted June 20, 1988 by the City Council, the Director of Community Development has the authority to approve, approve,'with conditions, or deny a Certificate of Appropriateness``for'improvements requiring building permits for property located' Within the Cultural Resources Overlay District. The following findings are required before a Certificate of Appropriateness is issued: 1. The proposed work conforms to the Municipal Code and design standards which may be established from time to time by the Cultural Resources Committee. 2. The proposed work does not adversely affect the character of the District of Designated Cultural Resources within the District. 3. The proposed work is harmonious with existing surroundings. The extent of harmony shall be evaluated in terms of appropriateness of materials, scale, size, height, placements, and use of new buildings or structures- in relation to existing buildings and structures and the surrounding setting. The Director of Community Development has reviewed the proposed project to. construct.a front porch addition to an existing residence located . at 175 South A Street and has determined that the proposed improvements are consistent with the above provisions, and therefore, approves a Certificate of�;Appropriateness, subject to the conditions of approval stated .in Exhibit A of Planning Commission Resolution No. 2763 regarding Design Review 89- 75/Variance 90-06 (Robinson).
