HomeMy WebLinkAboutC ST 530 STE A, B, C, D, 540 STE E, F, 550 STE G, 560 STE I & L 10/04/1991ox �' Tt� Community Development Department October 4, 1991 1* City Of Tustin 15222 Del Amo Avenue Tustin, CA 92680 (714) 544-8890 FAX (714) 832-0825 Ms. Karen Lange 1885 Cymbal Place Anaheim, CA 92807 SUBJECT: CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS FOR THE PROPOSED RE -ROOF OF NINE NON-CONTRIBUTING RESIDENCES, A MANSARD FOR 10 GARAGES, AND A GAZEBO AT 530-A, 530-B, 530-C, 530-D, 540-E, 540-F, 550-G, 560-I AND 570-L "C" STREET Dear Ms. Lange: In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted June 20, 1988 by the Tustin City Council, the Community Development Director has the authority to approve, approve with conditions or deny Certification of Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City building permit for property located within a Cultural Resource District. The following findings are required before a Certificate of Appropriateness is issued: a. The proposed work conforms to the Municipal Code and design standards which may be established from time to time by the Cultural Resources Committee. b. The proposed work does not adversely affect the character of the District or Designated Cultural Resources within the District. C. The proposed work is harmonious with existing surroundings. .The extent of harmony shall be evaluated in terms of appropriateness of materials, scale, size, height, placement and use of a new building or structure in relationship to existing buildings and structures and the surrounding setting. The Community Development Director has. reviewed the proposed re - roof for the above-mentioned residences, garages and gazebo, and has determined that the proposed three -tab class "A" shingles are in conformance with the above requirements. The proposed roof material is consistent with existing conditions and structures in the immediate neighborhood, and is appropriate for the subject buildings.
