HomeMy WebLinkAboutEL CAMINO REAL 560 12/21/199391 Community Development Department December 21, 1993 CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS 560 EL CAMINO REAL FENCE CONSTRUCTION • City of Tustin 300 Centennial Way Tustin, CA 92680 In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted June 20, 1988 by the Tustin City .Council, the Community Development Director has the authority to approve, approve with conditions or deny Certification of Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City building permit for property located within a Cultural Resource District. The following findings are required before a Certificate of Appropriateness is issued: a. The proposed work conforms to the Municipal Code and design standards which may be established from time to time by the Cultural Resources Committee. b. The proposed work does not adversely affect the character of the District or Designated Cultural Resources within the District. C. The proposed work is harmonious with existing surroundings. The extent of harmony shall be evaluated in terms of appropriateness of materials, scale, size, height, placement and use of a new building or structure in relationship to existing buildings and structures and the surrounding setting. The proposed 3/4 inch vertical wood slat fencing material is appropriate for the subject property, and will be painted red to match the building as specified on the plans. The proposed work is hereby approved, subject to the following conditions: 1. The applicant shall obtain all -required building permits and pay all applicable plan check and permit fees to the Building Division, including a penalty fees for the construction of the subject fence without building permits, as established by the Uniform Administration Code. 2. All construction shall be completed in conformance with the approved plans, stamped and dated December 16, 1993, by the Community Development Department. All methods of construction, materials, finishes and colors shall comply with the plans as approved by the Community Development Department. 3. No portion of the metal fence to which the six foot high, 3/4 inch vertical wood slat fence is attached shall be visible from the public right-of-way. 4. The 6 foot high wood fence shall completely screen the rear storage yard at the subject commercial building. Said storage area shall be used for storage only. No mechanical work or other activities may be conducted in the rear storage yard. CAS:BCS.560ecr.coa
