HomeMy WebLinkAbout6TH ST W 355 02/14/19970 0 HILE COV, CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS 355 W. 6th STREET FEBRUARY 14, 1997 On February 12, 1997, James and Sherri Orr submitted plans to construct a 256 square foot shed on the rear of the property at 355 W. Sixth Street. In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001, which was adopted June 20, 1988 by the Tustin City Council, the Community Development Director has the authority to approve, approve with conditions, or deny a Certificate of Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City building permit for property located within a Cultural Resource District. The following findings are,required before a Certificate of Appropriateness is issued: 1. The proposed work conforms to the Municipal Code and design standards which may be established from time to time by the Cultural Resources Committee; 2. The proposed work does not adversely affect the character of the District or Designated .Cultural Resources within the District; and . 3. The proposed work is harmonious with existing surroundings. The extent of harmony shall be evaluated in terms of appropriateness of materials, scale, size, height, placement and use of a new building or structure in relationship to existing buildings and structures an the surrounding setting. It has been determined that the project is in conformance with the above requirements. The Community Development Director has reviewed the proposed plan and approves a Certificate of Appropriateness for construction of a 256 square foot shed as proposed.. on the plans dated stamped February 12, 1997.
