HomeMy WebLinkAboutC S 530 - 570 ST 12/04/19980 Community Development Department December 4, 1998 • i f.��: ti NT, CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS 530-570 South C Street CONSTRUCTION OF WATER HEATER ENCLOSURES 300 Centennial Way Tustin, CA 92780 (714) 573-3100 In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted June 20, 1988 by the Tustin City Council, the Community Development Director has the authority to approve, approve with conditions or deny Certificates of Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City building permit for property located within a Cultural Resource District. The proposed project includes the construction of small additions to the structures to enclose new water heaters alterations to unrated structures per the Tustin Historical Resources Survey. The Community Development Department finds and determines as follows: A. The proposed work conforms to the Municipal Code and any applicable design standards in that in accordance with TCC Sections 8102 et seq and TCC Section 8300 et seq, the proposed construction of the enclosures and installations of the water heaters will comply with the applicable provisions of the Uniform Building Code and Uniform Plumbing Code. B. The proposed work does not adversely affect the character of the District or Designated Cultural Resources within the District in that the subject locations are unrated structures per the City of Tustin Historical Survey, and the enclosures are constructed to appear integrated to the structures. C. The proposed work is harmonious with existing surroundings in that the enclosures are consistent with the style of the existing structures and the finishes will match the existing structures. The enclosures are to be constructed on an existing stoop at the rear of each residence and will be concealed under the existing eaves. Certificate of Appropriateness 530-570 South C Street December 4, 1998 The proposed work is hereby approved, subject to the following conditions: 1. Prior to the start of any work, the applicant shall obtain a building permit and pay all applicable plan check and permit fees. 2. All enclosures are to be painted to match the existing residences as per the plans. 3. Any replacement or repair of any existing features surrounding the enclosures shall match the existing materials, finish and colors of the existing structure. Elizabeth A.
