HomeMy WebLinkAbout3RD ST W 610 - 62011/06/20000 0 G�TY O �S'C Community Development Department 0 City of.Tustin November 6, 2000 CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS 610-620 W. 3RD Street Re -roof (Taylor) -300 Centennial Way Tustin, CA 92780 714.573.3100 In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted June 20, 1988 by the Tustin City Council, the Community Development Director has the authority to approve, approve with conditions or deny Certificates of Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City building permit for property located within a Cultural Resource District. The proposed project is to re -roof a non-contributing residential structure per the Tustin Historical Resources Survey. The Community Development Department finds and determines as follows: A. The proposed work conforms to the Municipal Code and any applicable design standards in that the material to be applied to the roof is similar to the existing composition shingle. The proposed "brown" color is compatible with the existing homes in the area and emulates a wood shake appearance. �B. The proposed work does not adversely affect the character of the District or Designated Cultural Resources within the District in that the proposed material will look similar to a wood shake roof. The "brown" composition shingle will replace the existing "brown' wood shake, which will improve the appearance of the roof and will be compatible with the style of the building and improve the character of the District. C. The proposed work is harmonious with existing surroundings in that the "brown' color composition shingle is compatible with the style of the subject building and with the surrounding residential structures. The proposed work is hereby approved, subject to the following conditions: 1. Prior to the start of any work, the applicant shall obtain a building permit and pay all applicable plan check and permit fees. 2. Any replacement or repair of any existing features surrounding the facia shall match the existing materials, finish and colors of the existing structure. Elizabeth A.
