HomeMy WebLinkAboutPASADENA AVE S 275 08/06/2004SO Community Development Department August 6, 2004 City of Tustin 300 Centennial Way CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS Tustin, CA 92780 275 SOUTH PASADENA AVENUE (714) 573-3100 INSTALLATION OF A DECORATIVE MASONRY WALL IN A NON -RATED CONTRIBUTING STRUCTURAL PROPERTY In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted June 20, 1988, by the Tustin City Council, the Community Development Director has the authority to approve, approve with conditions, or deny Certificates of Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City building permit for property located within a Cultural Resource District. The proposed project includes the installation of a six foot high tan colored "slump stone" masonry block wall along the south boundary line of the property. The home is' considered a non- rated contributing structure per Tustin Historical Survey The Community Development Department finds and determines as follows: A. In accordance with TCC Section 8101 (301.2.1) the six foot high masonry wall requires a building permit. B. The proposed work does not adversely affect the character of the District or Designated Cultural Resources within the District in that the proposed tan colored slump stone masonry wall is appropriate with the style and architecture of the house and the existing six foot high masonry tan "slump stone" block wall located along the east and north propelly lines. The proposed work is hereby approved, subject to the following conditions: Prior to the start of any work, the applicant shall obtain a building permit, and pay all applicable permit fees. 2. That the masonry wall does exceed thirty six (36) inches in height within the front yard twenty -foot setback.
