HomeMy WebLinkAboutMYRTLE AVE S 235 05/10/2005Commu,nity Development Department MAY 10, 2005 CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS 235 SOUTH MYRTLE AVENUE } 300 Centennial Way Tustin, CA 92780 71.573.3100 CONSTRUCTION OF A 50' LONG, 6' HIGH BLOCK WALL ON A NON -RATER PROPERTY In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted June 20, 1988, by the Tustin City Council, the Community Development Director has the authority to approve, approve with conditions, or deny Certificates of Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City building permit for property located within a Cultural Resource District. The proposed project includes the installation of a fifty foot (50') long, six foot (6') high block wall located along the southerly property line of the property. The structure is not rated in the Tustin Historical Resource Survey. The Community Development Department finds and determines as follows: A. In accordance with TCC Section 8101 (301.2. 1) the six foot high block wall requires a building permit. B. The proposed work does not adversely affect the character of the District or Designated Cultural Resources within the District in that the newly pioposed segment of block wall will match the existing segment of block wall along the southerly property line and is appropriate with the style and architecture of the house. The proposed work is -hereby approved, subject to the following conditions: 1. Prior to the start of any work, the applicant shall obtain a building permit, and pay all applicable permit fees. 2.
