AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING SECTIONS 1301, 1302, 1303, AND 1515 OF
THE TUSTIN CITY CODE RELATING TO MEETING DATES,
RULES OF PROCEDURE, AND COUNCIL
COMPENSATIONS
The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, ordains:
Section 1. Section 1301 of the Tustin City Code is amended to read:
1301 REGULAR MEETINGS
A. Regular meetings of the City Council shall be held on the first and
third Tuesdays of each calendar month at the hour of 7:00 p.m. in
the Council Chambers, Tustin City Center, Centennial Way at Main
Street, Tustin, California. When the regular meeting date falls on a
legal holiday, the meeting shall be held on the following day.
B. Closed sessions of the City Council may be conducted prior to the
7:00 p.m. business portion of regular meetings. The time scheduled
depends upon the number of items to be considered. If necessary,
Closed Sessions not completed prior to the business portion will be
considered at the conclusion of the business portion of the meeting,
or as otherwise determined by the City Council.
Section 2. Section 1302 of the Tustin City Code is amended to read:
1302 RULES OF PROCEDURE
The proceedings of the City Council shall be governed under "Robert's Rules of
Order," or such other rules or regulations as the City Council may adopt or
implement on all matters pertaining to parliamentary law, but no ordinance,
resolution, proceeding or other action of the Council shall be invalidated or the
legality thereof otherwise affected by the failure or omission to observe or follow
such rules.
Section 3. Section 1303 of the Tustin city Code is amended to read:
1303 COMPENSATION OF MEMBERS
Members of the City Council shall be paid and receive as compensation, a salary
of nine hundred forty seven dollars and ninety cents ($947.90 per month.

SECTION 4. Section 1515 of the Tustin City Code is amended to read:
1515 REGULAR MEETINGS
The Planning Commission shall hold its regular meetings on the second and
fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, except
when such a day falls on a legal holiday, in which event the Planning
Commission shall meet at 7:00 p.m. an the first weekday following which is not a
legal holiday. The Planning Commission may meet at such other times and
places as hereafter may be determined from time to time by the Planning
Commission to be necessary or convenient.
SECTION 5. Add Section 9506 of Chapter 5, Article 9
9506 REGULAR MEETINGS
Regular meetings of the Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency shall be held
on the first and third Tuesday of each calendar month at the hour of 7:00 p.m. in
the City Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California. When the
regular meeting date falls on a legal holiday, the meeting shall be held on the
following day.
SECTION 6. The provisions of Section 1 of this Ordinance (amending Section 1301 of
the Tustin City Code} shall become effective an March 1, 2007. The provisions of
Section 3 of this Ordinance (amending the provisions of Section 1303 of the Tustin City
Cods) shall become effective on January 1, 2009. Except as otherwise provided in this
Section 6, the provisions of this Ordinance shall became effective at 12:01 am an the
thirty-first day after passage.
